Career Ready

At Belfast Boys' Model School, preparing pupils in Senior School to be career-ready is a key priority. We understand that the transition from education to the working world requires more than just academic knowledge; it also demands practical skills, industry insights, and self-confidence. To achieve this, we have developed a tailored careers programme that equips pupils with the tools they need to thrive in their future careers.

Our careers programme begins with personalised career guidance, helping pupils explore various career paths based on their skills, interests, and goals. Pupils also attend workshops on key employability skills such as CV writing, interview techniques, and job searching, ensuring they are well-prepared to market themselves effectively.

Work experience* provides valuable real-world exposure, allowing pupils to apply classroom learning in professional environments. This hands-on experience builds critical skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and time management, while also offering networking opportunities with industry professionals.

*Industry visits offer pupils direct insights into different careers, giving them the chance to see how various sectors operate and the skills required. Whether visiting factories, offices, or labs, pupils gain a deeper understanding of potential career options.

By combining guidance, practical experience, and industry exposure, our careers programme equips pupils with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to thrive in their chosen paths.
