PURPOSE

Working_towards_Investors_in_pupils (1).jpg

The Investors In Pupils Award is a prestigious recognition that we are aiming towards as we actively engage pupils in their own learning and development. It is a whole school approach that empowers pupils to take ownership of their education and encourages them to contribute to the greater school community. The award demonstrates that we are committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not just academically successful but also holistically developed, responsible, self-motivated and capable of making positive contributions to society.

FOCUS

The award focuses on five key areas:

  1. Behaviour

  2. Attendance

  3. Classroom Management

  4. Learning

  5. Induction

By addressing these areas, we aim to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where our pupils feel valued, supported and motivated to succeed.

ACHIEVEMENT

To achieve the Investors In Pupils Award, we involve our pupils in decision-making processes, encourage them to set personal and academic targets and provide opportunities for leadership and responsibility. This is mainly carried out through Target Setting as well as opportunities to join the Student Council, Addressing Bullying and Wellbeing Ambassadors and the Pupil Senior Leadership Team. Pupils are actively involved in planning and evaluating their learning throughout the year in all subjects as well as contributing to the overall ethos and culture of our school.

PARENTS

As a school, we recognise the importance of parental involvement which is a vital aspect of the award. The award encourages us to establish strong partnerships with parents, creating open communication channels and promoting collaborative efforts to support learning and personal development for all. As a school, we believe these partnerships have been solidified for quite some time.

BENEFITS

One of the key benefits of this award is the impact it has on the progress and attainment on each pupil. By empowering pupils to take responsibility for their own learning, they will become more engaged and motivated which will lead to enhanced academic performance. Additionally, the award fosters a sense of social responsibility as pupils actively contribute to the school community which also future proofs each pupil by developing skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving.
