On Friday we had our first Remembrance Assembly and we were privileged and honoured to have Andy Allen MBE speak to our pupils. Andy spoke about his experiences in Afghanistan and the continued importance of Remembrance Day for soldiers and veterans. Mrs Montgomery spoke of the huge debt of gratitude we owe to men like Andy, who fight to defend the freedoms and way of life we enjoy today.
Many of pupils have taken part in Remembrance events over the past few days - Reuben Crossman and Owen McCleave took part in Shankill Remembrance Events today, Kaleb Kerr and Ryan Reid participated in parades on Remembrance Sunday, with Kaleb also attending the Festival of Remembrance in Lisburn on Friday night. We are incredibly impressed and so proud of our pupils taking part in these significant events.
