Quality Relationships

A comprehensive and effective transition programme which stretches across Primary 7 and Year 8 and includes peer mentoring, curriculum support and pastoral care ensures a smooth and successful move to ‘Big School’ for Belfast Boys’ Model School pupils.

In April 2018, Belfast Boys’ Model School won the ‘Derrytrasna Award’ – this is the Department of Education’s highest award for ‘exceptional’ pastoral care.

“The arrangements for the care and support of the pupils in the school are highly effective.”
