Welcome to Belfast Boys’ Model School website. The school was founded in 1857 as a 'model' of good practice in educational provision and for over 150 years, we have had a tradition of academic and sporting success and have been at the forefront of educational developments.
Recently, our superb new school received a prestigious award for excellence in a new build, but a school is more than bricks and mortar. We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships between staff, pupils and parents. We bring out the best in our boys, whether it is on the sports field, where we are renowned for our prowess, or in the academic arena where our GCSE pass rates are excellent and we have achieved 100% passes at ‘A’ level, with large numbers of boys progressing to university. Past pupils have gone on to fill the highest positions in, for example, the civil service, law, medicine, industry, commerce, the creative arts and teaching. Whatever a boy’s ambition, Belfast Boys’ Model can help him achieve it and importantly, be happy along that journey to success.
