Founded in 1857, Belfast Boys’ Model School has a long history of providing a quality education for boys in the Greater Belfast area. Our traditional values of academic excellence and sporting success are built upon a solid foundation of good relationships which exist within a caring, disciplined school environment. 

Our recently built facilities provide a superb environment for teaching and learning, including state-of-the-art classrooms, a range of well-equipped sports and fitness resources, and excellent Performing Arts facilities.

Quality Relationships

A comprehensive and effective transition programme which stretches across Primary 7 and Year 8 and includes peer mentoring, curriculum support and pastoral care ensures a smooth and successful move to ‘Big School’ for Belfast Boys’ Model School pupils. 

In April 2018, Belfast Boys’ Model School won the ‘Derrytrasna Award’ – this is the Department of Education’s highest award for ‘exceptional’ pastoral care.
