Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business
Course Aims:
The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Business aims to look at the questions arising in business and how decisions are made in business. The new syllabus covers four units, which are assessed both internally and externally during the two years of the course:
Exploring business
Developing a marketing campaign
Personal and business finance
Recruitment and selection process
Entry Requirements:
The right attitude to the subject is vital along with an interest in current affairs, politics, industry and enthusiasm to know more.
Assessment of Units:
58% external assessment
42% internal assessment
Unit Details:
Unit 1: Exploring business is 25% of the qualification. Coursework is internally assessed.
Unit 2: Developing a marketing campaign is 29% of the qualification. A set task is externally assessed.
Unit 3: Personal and business finance is 29% of the qualification. This is externally assessed through examination.
Unit 4: Recruitment and selection process is 17% of the qualification. Coursework is internally assessed.
