On Friday 1stJune, six Year 13 students got the opportunity to showcase their excellent customer service skills. The School’s “Bursary Fund Wine Tasting” event was a thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining and educational journey through facts about different wines.
The pupils served, and chatted to, all of the guests while Peter Wilson talked about the samples and explained why the particular “nibbles”, had been selected to complement each wine perfectly.
The boys worked very hard and it was great to get a real life situation that moved beyond the confines of the Home Economics Department and allowed all the lessons about Hospitality to be put into practice.
