Alumni experiences...

As part of bringing alumni into school to share their experiences we have had 2 past pupils so far.

Craig Moneypenny, a former Boys’ Model pupil from 1985-1992, visited the school in September. He obtained his BSc. and Ph.D at Queen’s and has been working in Biomedical Science at several universities in the USA for more than 20 years. Craig spoke to our A-Level Science pupils about his experiences in this field and how if they put their mind to it they can achieve anything . He said "It was truly amazing to see how the school has really transformed since I left 27 years ago, and it’s all for the better - it is truly an excellent school".

Aaron Bickerstaff, past Head Boy, who left BBMS 10 years ago was in school on Friday speaking to the current Year 14 pupils about his experiences since he left. Aaron spoke about his university experience, where he achieved a 2.1 in Marketing at UU - the benefits of going, the skills he developed here and his employment path since. Aaron currently lives in Dubai, has worked as a teacher in UAE and 3.5 years ago established Perform Better, Dubai - global leaders in the manufacture and supply of functional training, rehabilitation & sports performance equipment. It was fantastic for the Year 14 pupils to hear his story and we hope to get many more past alumni into school to share their stories.
