Public Accounts Committee launch report

Tday the Public Accounts Committee, along with Dr Mark Browne, the Permanent Secretary at DE and Sara Long, Chief Executive of EA visited the school to launch their ‘Closing the Gap’ report.

They congratulated the school on the great work being done to support and guide pupils to academic success. The report says that “members of the Committee visited the Belfast Boys’ Model School to see first-hand how the school was using funding and how this was having a demonstrable impact of the academic performance of pupils. The Committee was impressed with the strategies and practices implemented by the school and considers that there is scope for these to be adopted by other schools”.

Today, they also met the Year 12 and 13 boys receiving their GCSE module results for English, Maths and Science. Well done boys, we are so proud of you!
