Senior School Prize giving

This afternoon we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our current Senior School pupils and Year 14 leavers. These students have shown immense dedication and perseverance throughout their academic journey and their hard work deserves recognition. Students have excelled in various fields, from academics to sports and the arts. Their achievements inspire their peers and set a high standard for future students. These awards honour not only academic excellence but also contributions to the school community. The celebration included speeches from teachers and students, highlighting their journey with us in BBMS. It was a moment of pride for everyone involved. The efforts of these young people will shape their futures. Congratulations to all students for their remarkable successes!

In addition to the main awards, we are thrilled to recognise our bursary winners. This year has seen the largest amount of funding awarded to students since 2015. This financial support will help them pursue higher education and further their goals and we are so grateful to the bursary board for their contributions to securing the future of our Model Men.  Winners for top achievement were Jack Johnston who is going on to study Sport and Exercise Science at UU, Saul Arbuthnot who will be across the water studying Biomedical Science at Edge Hill and Ashton Larmour-McQuaide who is studying Politics and International Relations at Liverpool John Moores.  As well as the main recipients, 3 pupils received supplementary bursaries for their attainment- Ben Irvine who is stuyding Computer Science at UU, David Neill who will be studying Law at UU Magee Campus and John McKinstry who is studying Business Studies at UU.  We were also delighted to award a one off HND bursary to Carter Rankin and HLA bursary to Ryan McCaw.
