IFA Enrichment

The IFA coaching Enrichment class visited the National Stadium at Windsor Park. Pupils had a stadium tour, including changing rooms, press facilities and stands. They also received an insight into some of the Northern Ireland's football history as well as enjoying the interactive nature of the education centre. #welearn

Career Ready Masterclass

The Year 13 Career Ready pupils had a Masterclass from Bronwen Brewer, Kainos. She shared her years of Interview Skills experience (from several business sectors) to help these pupils get ready for their forthcoming Mock Interviews. Bronwen kept the key messages simple, included real life examples and gave the pupils lots of practical advice to help them be successful at interviews. It was a great session, with the boys asking many relevant questions to help them prepare for any interview in their future.

Year 8 Hockey Blitz

The Year 8’s played their first matches in a hockey Blitz hosted by BRA. They played matches against Newry High, Bangor Grammar and BRA. It was a big learning process for the boys in how fast the game of Hockey is played. Well done to Cohen Bell who got on the score sheet today with his first ever goal for the Model.

Mental Wealth

Over 130 young people from 10 North Belfast Schools met up for the annual symposium event held this year in Ulster University.

The theme of this year’s event was 'Mental Wealth' and our young people ensured their voices were heard by posing some excellent questions to the expert panel.

Speakers from AMH, local politicans and the mental health champion Siobhan O'Neill spoke to our young people about the importance of mental health services in Northern Ireland and their role in shaping it's future.

Circuits....

Circuits in action today in the Science Department! It is lovely to walk around the corridors and see the boys taking part in different activities, working together and developing their transferable skills as well as their subject knowledge.

Creative Schools...

The Year 10 boys involved in the Creative Schools project worked with street artist Conor McGinley learning new skills in producing large scale artworks. These images will be used for magazine articles. They all had a great time working practically, fantastic work boys! #welearn #newskills
