On Sunday 28th October, 9 pupils from Boys’ Model, along with 40 other pupils from Harmony North travelled to Londonderry to compete in the Youth Choir category of the City of Derry International Choir Festival. This festival is highly prestigious event, attracting exceptional choirs from all over the world. Harmony North performed two songs – ‘The Gospel Train’ and ‘She Moved Through The Fair’ – with our own Year 13 pupil, Aaron Nutt taking the solo lead. The choir also had the opportunity to listen to the other young people perform. The standard of choral singing was exceptional!
Afterwards, the young people were able to enjoy some free time together, having dinner at the City Hotel then enjoying the rides at the Halloween Carnival. It really was a thoroughly enjoyable day!!
