CATCH Project

CATCH – Challenging Attitudes and Changing Horizons – is about young people making their voices heard in their communities and being a force for positive change in those communities, now and in the future.  15 students in 10JP took part in the CATCH Project this year. They worked alongside other Year 10 students from Mercy College, Lurgan Junior High and St. Ronan’s school.

Participants completed a series of workshops to promote:

  • Cross-community connection

  • Mutual understanding and respect

  • A positive sense of identity  and increase self-confidence

  •  Development of new skills

  • A sense of community engagement and social awareness

These were incorporated into our days out to BAC, 174 Trust Centre, Brownlow House and Crumlin Road Gaol. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed this programme and made friends for life
